Children 1st West Berkshire was set up by the West Berkshire Foster Carers Association for the benefit and support of young people who are, or who have been, in care in West Berkshire.

While they are living in the house they will enjoy as much independence as possible coupled with the right balance of emotional and practical help from the Charity’s workers. News and What's onChildren 1st West Berkshire has become the named charity for the AWE.
We are the nominated charity for the Marketing Acadamy. Patsy Stone has been short listed for 'Clarins Most Dynamisante Woman of the Year Award 2012 in Association with The Mail on Sunday You magazine.She was interviewed for this on 18th April and we will let you know the outcome. On Friday 20th April, WBFA's celebrated their 7th birthday as well as the signing of the Foster Carers Charter. To see more about this significant event, click here. We will be having stalls at the following;Holybrook Festival at Calcot in June, Newbury Show in Sept. Cakes and any other donations gratefully received. We have secured mentoring from Anthony Fleming of Passion4life for the residents of Cornerstone. Children 1st Fundraising CommitteeLinked with this committee is WBFCA’s PR. Part of the WBFCA agreement with the Local Authority is that we help with the recruitment of Foster Carers. We have found that the easiest way to do this is alongside
